Dr. Kym Mitchell
Dr. Kym Mitchell (a.k.a Dr. Kim Mitchell) graduated from Verdugo Hills High in 1982. She went on to UC Davis to get her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and has since been practicing in the foothill community.
Kym says that she can’t think of a better place to raise both her human and animal family, and is honored and privileged to be able to practice her passion in such a caring and supportive community.
Dr. Jennifer Mak
Dr. Jennifer Mak completed her undergraduate degree in biology from UC San Diego and obtained her veterinary degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Following graduation, she completed an additional year of extensive training through an internship at the California Veterinary Specialists in Ontario, California. Her professional interests include preventative care, geriatric care, and internal medicine.
Dr. Mak is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese.
In her spare time, you can find Dr. Mak working-out, cycling, binging Netflix and spending time with her husband, baby son, and fur babies (Mr. Brown and Disco).
Dr. Sherry Hong
Dr. Sherry Hong, a second generation veterinarian, grew up in Huntington Beach, CA and developed her love of pets and their care from her father and his veterinary practice. She earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2010 and also holds a Master in Public Health degree from Emory University.
Sherry believes in providing exceptional quality of care for her patients and clients through evidence-based medicine, prevention, education, and by establishing strong relationships with her clients by listening and providing an open line of communication.
In 2015, Sherry and her husband Richard, moved to La Crescenta and when Sherry learned of an opening at Montrose Pet Hospital, she saw it as a perfect opportunity to further plant roots in a community that she loves and one that her husband grew up in. They have a handsome cat named Felix who ‘adopted them’ by stowing away inside Sherry’s car when he was only 5 weeks old. Her interests outside of work include traveling, cooking, karaoke, wine tasting, rooting for the Dodgers, and emotionally supporting her husband during the fantasy football season.

Ben Sures
Ben Sures graduated from Crescenta Valley High School in 1999 and went on to get a degree in Psychology from Long Beach State in 2007. Since 1997 he has crafted his skill in veterinary technology and has worked hard to promote animal health and well being. He is currently the Hospital Administrator and RVT.
Ben and his wife Rachel have a three children, Addison, Corbin and Landon, one cat a rambunctious Golden Retriever, Norman, a Lab puppy; Georgia, Pippa the crazy Terrier and a parrot, Crosby.
Julian Mitchell
Julian Mitchell, is a recent graduate of Crescenta Valley High School. He is the son of co-owner and Veterinarian Kym Mitchell, so he has had a lot of experience with animals through out his whole life. He has a pet snake, George, along with his dog Collete, two cats, a frog, and two fish.
Eve
Eve has grown up raising a variety of animals. She has recently graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Pierce College. She has devoted her time as a volunteer at the Burbank Animal Shelter. At the shelter, she has gained great experience in animal handling. Currently she owns two great bunnies named Cinnamon & Snow White, and a white loving cat named Joey who she rescued after he was left at our door.
