Dr. Kym Mitchell (a.k.a Dr. Kim Mitchell) graduated from Verdugo Hills High in 1982. She went on to UC Davis to get her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and has since been practicing in the foothill community.
Kym says that she can't think of a better place to raise both her human and animal family, and is honored and privileged to be able to practice her passion in such a caring and supportive community.
Dr Brandi Bayliff grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and received her BS in Biology from the University of Utah in 2008. She moved to Southern California to in 2009 to attend veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences. She and her husband happened upon Montrose in February 2012 and fell in love with the community! Prior to veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary technician for over eleven years in two small animal practices in the Salt Lake Valley. Her interests lie in relationship-centered care, dentistry, nutrition, medical oncology, and soft tissue surgery. Brandi shares her life with her husband, her Great Dane Jules and her two cats, Clark W. Griswald and Rupert. Yoga and gardening help keep her sane.
Dr. Jennifer Mak completed her undergraduate degree in biology from UC San Diego and obtained her veterinary degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Following graduation, she completed an additional year of extensive training through an internship at the California Veterinary Specialists in Ontario, California. Her professional interests include preventative care, geriatric care, and internal medicine.
Dr. Mak is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese.
In her spare time, you can find Dr. Mak working-out, cycling, binging Netflix and spending time with her husband, baby son, and fur babies (Mr. Brown and Disco).

Ben Sures graduated from Crescenta Valley High School in 1999 and went on to get a degree in Psychology from Long Beach State in 2007. Since 1997 he has crafted his skill in veterinary technology and has worked hard to promote animal health and well being. He is currently the Hospital Administrator and RVT.
Ben and his wife Rachel have a three children, Addison, Corbin and Landon, one cat a rambunctious Golden Retriever, Norman, a Lab puppy; Georgia, Pippa the crazy Terrier and a parrot, Crosby.
Briana Olander has lived in La Crescenta since she was 2 years old. She graduated from Crescenta Valley High School in 2004 and is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at Mt. San Antonio College in Pomona, California. She is an amazingly skilled individual who will provide your furry family members with care as if they were her own. Briana has three dogs: Sienna the "beauty queen" Siberian Husky, Kenzie the chow mix, and Rambo the Boxer.
Julian Mitchell, is a recent graduate of Crescenta Valley High School. He is the son of co-owner and Veterinarian Kym Mitchell, so he has had a lot of experience with animals through out his whole life. He has a pet snake, George, along with his dog Collete, two cats, a frog, and two fish.
Eve has grown up raising a variety of animals. She has recently graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Pierce College. She has devoted her time as a volunteer at the Burbank Animal Shelter. At the shelter, she has gained great experience in animal handling. Currently she owns two great bunnies named Cinnamon & Snow White, and a white loving cat named Joey who she rescued after he was left at our door.
Mark has been in the veterinary field for over 8 years. He has two beautiful girls and loves movies and BBQing. Mark is the MPHs official Star Wars aficionado.
Born and raised near Silver Lake, CA. Cindy has worked with, kept, or rescued most kinds of creatures her entire life. She is a former cat groomer and physical therapy aide, with a diverse menagerie of my own; ranging from the cute and cuddly, to the creepy and crawly. She is currently studying to become a Registered Veterinary Technician and is delighted to be a member of the MPH team. Cindy brings with her a unique animal care background with a special interest in geriatric pet care.

Hope English has lived in Los Angeles all her life. She loves everything the busy city has to offer, including the wonderful pets that live alongside her. She is currently attending CSUN and working toward her Bachelor's in English-Lit with a minor in theater. When she's not taking care of her Irish Springer Spaniel, Brodie, you can find her on the stage, mostly performing out of Glendale Centre Theatre. Her passion for animals has led her to this wonderful position at Montrose Pet Hospital and her love for furry friends continues to grow every minute!
